Clarke starts Open with Mickelson

Ulsterman Darren Clarke has yet to win a Major title

Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke will play with Masters champion Phil Mickelson in the first two rounds of the Open Championship at Hoylake.

Yasuharu Imano of Japan makes up the grouping which tees off at 0920BST for the opening round.

Graeme McDowell has a 1258BST start in the company of American Lucas Glover and Peter Lonard of Australia.

Padraig Harrington will play with Arron Oberholser and Nick O'Hern in a group which begins play at 0909BST.

Paul McGinley's playing partners are former world number one David Duval and Japan's Hideto Tanihara and they get under way at 1420BST.
