Top seeds Annika Sorenstam and Michelle Wie remained on course for the Women's World Match Play Championship final by winning their second-round matches. Sorenstam, the number one seed in New Jersey, defeated American Heather Young 3&2 while second seed Wie swept aside Christina Kim by the same margin.
British hopes were ended when Catriona Matthew and Laura Davies both lost.
Davies was beaten by Korean 14th seed Mi Hyun Kim 5&4 while Matthew fell 4&3 to American Juli Inkster.

Sophie Gustafson joined Swedish compatriot Sorenstam in Saturday's third round by upsetting American sixth seed Cristie Kerr 4&2.
Sorenstam sunk birdies to claim the first two holes against Young but dropped back to be level at the turn before winning at 10,12 and 13 to close out the contest.
"I'm very happy with the way I'm playing," said the Swede, who won her third US Open on Monday.
"I'm not even thinking that I should be tired and I'm looking forward to coming back."
Sorenstam faces American 20-year-old Brittany Lang in the next round.
Wie came back from one down after eight holes with a run of three birdies at the turn to set up a meeting with South Korean Pak Se Ri, whose career also got off to a prolific start as a youngster.
"I've never played Se Ri before but I really respect what she has done," said Wie.
"She came on the LPGA Tour and achieved so much early on and I've always really admired her."
The third round begins on Saturday, with the quarter-finals later the same day. The semi-finals and final are on Sunday.
