Elkington has not played in the Masters since 2003 |
Australian Steve Elkington has pulled out of the Masters with the same groin injury that kepy him out of the Players Championship two weeks ago. The 43-year-old would have been making his ninth appearance at the Masters, which starts on Thursday and now has a field reduced to 90 players.
Elkington qualified by finishing joint second to Phil Mickelson in the PGA Championship last year in Baltusrol.
He last played at the Masters in 2003, when he missed the cut.
