Great Britain and Ireland take on their American counterparts in the Walker Cup, amateur golf's equivalent of the Ryder Cup, in Chicago this weekend.The visitors will be chasing a fourth straight win in the biennial event which starts on Saturday.

Golf coordinator for the Welsh Golfing Union. Made Walker Cup debut in 2001 and member of victorious 2003 side at Ganton. Halved match with Lee Williams secured retention of Cup.
Oliver Fisher, 16, England

Home club: West Essex
Youngest-ever player on either side at 16 years 11 months old, one month and 10 days younger than Justin Rose in 1997. Runner-up in 2005 Brabazon Trophy and semi-finalist in Amateur Championship.

Leads English Order of Merit after win in Lytham Trophy and joint third in St Andrews Links Trophy. Made England debut in 2003 after lifting English Amateur.

Won European Championship at Nairn in 2003 and also clinched Amateur Championship at Royal Birkdale. Was also 2004 Irish Amateur Close winner at Donegal.

Won three times in 2004, including Scottish Stroke Play title. This year Ramsay was third in same event over his home course and won Irish Open Amateur.

Made full English debut in 2003. Won 2004 Brabazon Trophy and European Amateur in Sweden. Represented GB&I in winning St Andrews Trophy team against Europe last year.
Lloyd Saltman, 19, Scotland

Home club: Craigielaw
Finished low amateur at the 2005 Open, ending tied 15th on five under. Also won Brabazon Trophy and St Andrews Links Trophy and reached semi-finals of British Amateur at Birkdale.
Gary Wolstenholme, 44, England

Home club: Kilworth Springs
Appeared in a record four winning teams (1995, 1999, 2001 and 2003). Played 17 matches, won nine and lost eight. Beat Tiger Woods in singles in 1995.
