England's Luke Donald will partner legends Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson when The Open begins on Thursday. The three will tee off at 0737 BST at St Andrews, with Tiger Woods joining Jose Maria Olazabal and Robert Allenby in a group that goes out at 0820.
Simon Dyson, Rory Sabbatini and Mark Calcavecchia start the action at 0630.
Other groupings see Ernie Els, Darren Clarke and Fred Funk together, and reigning champion Todd Hamilton with Retief Goosen and Lee Westwood.
Ian Poulter goes alongside Phil Mickelson and Trevor Immelman at 1258.
Nicklaus will this week bring to an end a glorious career that has brought 18 major titles, including three Opens and wins at St Andrews in 1970 and 1978.
The 65-year-old made his Open debut in 1963, and still feels he can make the cut 42 years on.
"I want to finish my career on a Sunday, not a Friday," said the American.
"There isn't a better place for me to go out. St Andrews is one of my two favourite golf places in the world.
"The other is Augusta and it's fitting that my last two majors should be in Augusta back in April and now St Andrews."
Nicklaus went round the Old Course with Nick Faldo as practice got under way on Monday.
"I definitely think he could make the cut," Faldo said of the American. "He's playing solid enough and he knows what he is doing out there."
Earlier, Woods was the first player on the course at 0630 alongside 1998 champion Mark O'Meara and Jim Furyk.
The 29-year-old avoided every bunker, as he did for the entire 72 holes when he won the tournament five years ago.
