Wales' David Park scored the third hole-in-one in a week at the Smurfit European Open at the K Club. The 31-year-old Monmouth man aced the 173-yard eighth, but missed the prize of a car which had gone to England's Simon Wakefield earlier in the week.
Instead, he received champagne and a weekend for two at the K Club, which he says he plans to take up with his wife in September.
Park finished way back in the field after rounds of 75, 70, 80 and 77.
The prize for his hole-in-one could have led to some friction in the Park household.
"My wife works for the RAF and is not allowed to come to Ireland unless she is posted here," said the Welshman.
"But she's changing jobs in September."
