Lehman made aware of K Club test
Lehman found greater solace in fishing than golf at the K Club
American Ryder Cup captain Tom Lehman ended his trip to the K Club, venue for next year's USA v Europe showdown, with a torrid 84 in the European Open.

The 46-year-old is to encourage US players to visit the Irish course, having witnessed its severity first hand with two triple bogeys on Sunday.

"Now I can tell them every inch of it," he quipped. "My game is in a real state of disarray.

"I can't remember playing so badly, everything I could do wrong I did."

Tiger Woods has been to the K Club before, and may return this year after playing in the JP McManus Pro-am in Limerick.

Lehman, who was penalised two shots for arriving late on the first tee on Saturday, also had five double bogeys this week and finished next to last at 21 over.

"The course is tough and you need to hit a lot of good shots," he said.

"There are lots of things to know about it and it's a course where you can see a lot of birdies and lots of high numbers."
