Record entry list for St Andrews |  Tiger Woods won The Open when it was last held at St Andrews in 2000 |
This year's Open Championship at St Andrews has attracted a record entry list of 2,499 players. The previous record of 2,481 players was set the last time the tournament was held at the home of golf in 2000. The list includes 101 players exempt from regional and local qualifying who will be joined by 15 others who will qualify from various categories. The Championship, won last year at Troon by America's Todd Hamilton, will be held from 14-17 July.
