Rose is keen to make his Ryder Cup debut in Ireland in 2006 |
Justin Rose is to rejoin the European Tour in the hope of making his Ryder Cup debut in Ireland next September. Rose quit Europe in March to focus on the US Tour, but will be eligible for Ryder Cup points from November.
"It is a lifelong ambition of mine to represent Europe in the Ryder Cup," said the 25-year-old Englishman.
"The first European Tour event I will play in is the South African Open. In the meantime I'll be trying to improve my world ranking."
Rose has dropped from 70th to 106th in the world this year, but at 98th on the US Tour money list he is virtually assured of keeping his card for next season.
The Ryder Cup qualifying race starts next week, but players must compete in 11 European Tour events to be eligible for points via the world ranking or Order of Merit list.
