British trio remain in contention
British trio Brian Davis, Greg Owen and Phillip Price all remain on course to win US Tour cards at the halfway stage of the qualifying school in California.

A bogey-free 67 from Davis in the third of the six rounds put him joint third on 12 under par.

He lies four shots behind American Jeff Brehaut, who stormed into the lead with a remarkable 61.

Owen's 70 leaves him joint fifth on 10 under, while Price is one shot back in a tie for eighth after a 71.

Bristol's John Morgan must improve as he lies in 40th place on three under with only the top 30 and ties earning cards for next season.

Ireland's Richie Coughlan and Keith Nolan are 102nd and 169th respectively while Scot Alan McLean is 114th.

The other Englishmen in the field - Sean Whiffin, David Carter and Paul Curry - are 102nd, 145th and 157th respectively.
