Fans at next month's Johnnie Walker Classic in Beijing will see the best field ever assembled in China. Among the stars appearing are four of the world's top ten - Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Sergio Garcia and Adam Scott.
Other leading lights teeing it up on 21 April include Ryder Cup quartet Paul Casey, Luke Donald, Colin Montgomerie and Miguel Angel Jimenez.
Sanctioned by the European, Asian and Australasian Tours, the event has a �1.25m purse, up 25% on 2004.
Thomas Bjorn is another big name European to commit to the event and he will be attempting to go one better than last year, when he was pipped by Jimenez after leading for the first three rounds.
Also playing at the Pine Valley Golf Resort will be the cream of Asian golfing talent, including current Asian Tour number one Thongchai Jaidee and US-based Korean KJ Choi.
Mr Hu Jian Guo, vice chairman of the China Golf Association, said: "The Johnnie Walker Classic will give Chinese professional golfers the chance to compete alongside some of the best golfers in the world.
"And it will showcase our strength in attracting and hosting world-class events leading up to the Beijing Olympics in 2008."
