Irishman Paul McGinley added another point to his growing Ryder Cup haul with a 3&2 victory over Stewart Cink.

McGinley, the man who holed the winning putt for Europe two years ago, was the last man out in the singles.

And though his match was eventually academic, he was never in danger of losing after going three up early on.

Birdies on the 11th, 12th and 15th prevented Cink from getting within touching distance and McGinley wrapped it up as the celebrations began.
