DiMarco v Jimenez (USA won 1-up) Spain's Miguel Angel Jimenez lost a tense Ryder Cup singles match by one hole to American Chris DiMarco. The lead changed hands several times on the outward nine but Jimenez held the advantage going into the home run.
DiMarco birdied the 12th to pull level and won the 14th to go ahead before Jimenez struck back yet again.
However DiMarco, despite knowing his side had already failed in their bid to win back the Cup, parred the 16th and held on to secure victory on the 18th.
