Monty moves up the field
R2 LEADERBOARD

-8 Jyoti Randhawa (Ind), Eddie Lee (Aus), Greg Hanrahan (US), Barry Lane (GB), Damien McGrane (Ire)
-7 James Kingston (SA), Kya Hla Han (Mym)
Colin Montgomerie improved to four under par after shooting a 69 on the second day of the Singapore Masters.

The Scot lies five shots off the lead and one behind Michael Campbell, who is his main rival for a place in next week's Players Championship in Florida.

Both want to move into the top 50 to play at Sawgrass, with Montgomerie ranked 51st and Campbell 52nd.

Mardan Mamat leads after a 68, while 12 players are yet to complete their round after storms delayed Thursday's play.

Singaporean Mamat shot six birdies and leads the field by one stroke.

And Montgomerie remains confident that Mamat can be caught.

He said: "Now I'm five behind, that's OK, I can win from here."

However, Montgomerie did admit "the greens are difficult, reading the grain, into the grain and down - it's hard work".

Sharing second place are first round leader Eddie Lee, Jyoti Randhawa, Damien McGrane, Greg Hanrahan and England's Barry Lane.
