Tiger Woods' caddie Steve Williams has cooled media speculation that he is planning to scale down his involvement with the world number one. The New Zealander returned to his home in Wellington in October and missed the tournament in which Woods made a record 113th tournament cut.
But he said: "I had a bet with Tiger at the start of the year that when I got to my 100 wins [as a professional caddie] I could take one tournament off.
"I won the bet so I got to have a month at home.
"A lot of people said that perhaps I should have been there [for the record], but Tiger's a good enough player that he's going to make the cut most of the time anyway.
"So I wasn't thinking too much about that, and I don't think he was either."
Williams will be back on Woods' bag for the Presidents Cup - the match between America and the Rest of the World - next week in South Africa.
