Garcia is one of the leading Open contenders despite only turning 23 this year.
At the tender age of 16 he became the youngest player in the modern game to play at the tournament.
And two years later, he became one of the youngest to complete all four rounds at the championship.
Last year Garcia achieved his best placing in the Open when he finished tied eighth.
In fact 2002 turned out to be a fantastic year for the Spaniard when he won tournaments on the PGA and European Tours and finished in the top 10 in all four Majors.
Garcia has been fairly disappointing this season, but few would write off someone with his potential.
Strength: Garcia is able to get great length and accuracy from the tee.
Weakness: Poor form this season may see him miss the cut.
