Fordham bottles it
Andy Fordham and lager
Cures all known ills...

World darts champion Andy Fordham has discovered a secret potion to heal his broken wrist - lager!

The BDO king, due to face rival Phil Taylor in a showdown later this month, is drinking eight bottles of the stuff a day.

And he claims the 'exercise' is better than any physiotherapy.

Fordham said: "I'm drinking plenty of bottles of beer and the exercise is helping to boost the muscles in my wrist.

"The bandages have been off for a couple of weeks, so the treatment is working."

The Viking is set to meet WDC champion Taylor on 21 November at the Circus Tavern in Purfleet in an eagerly-awaited contest.

Fordham, who is receiving "treatment" at his pub in Kent, has not thrown a dart for weeks after falling and breaking his right wrist.

He is not due to begin training again until a week before the big match.

Maybe he should increase his medicine!
