Moustaches. Some people suit them and some people just look plain daft. Charlton Athletic's players have opted to look just plain daft, but for a very good reason.
The Addicks stars have worn blue moustaches in order to promote the Yorkie's TacheBack campaign, an effort organised by Everyman, the testicular and prostate cancer charity.
TacheBack is now asking football fans, in particular, to create 'Taches on the Terraces', a campaign that could see thousands of grown men (and some sprouting teenagers) look either like Magnum PI or Bob Carolgees.
Famous moustache wearer and football pundit, Chris Kamara, is putting his full support behind the idea.
"For years I've sported a 'tache with pride so I jumped at the chance to get involved with TacheBack," he said.
"It's a great campaign giving blokes the chance to have a bit of a laugh, raise some money for a worthy cause and feel like real men."
Of course, men who have never grown a moustache may be surprised at the outcome of leaving their upper lip unshaved for couple of weeks.

The Standard The no-nonsense style of 'tache is the most popular variety. The wearer is making no other statement except, "Hey, I've got a moustache."
Famous wearers:Cricketers Graham Gooch and Clive Lloyd, footballer David Seaman and former Olympic hockey gold medallist Imran Sherwani.
The Villain Not as scary as the name suggests, although it is best not to ridicule those sporting a Villain. The moustache is similar in its thickness as the Standard, but has a slight downturn around the edges of the top lip.
Famous wearers:Footballers Graeme Souness and Brian Kilcline, swimmer Mark Spitz, and cricketers David Boon and Merv Hughes (extreme version)The Chav Not an official style, but one that was developed during the 1980s, continued to gain popularity in the 1990s and is still adopted by some post-millennium. Unlike a proper moustache, this is more like a thin wispy growth which is best combined with a shellsuit and sovereign rings.

For those who think stopping at a 'tache is for sissies, they can explore the option of the moustache and beard combination. As with all forms of extreme hair growth there is a risk. These risks are: looking far older than your age suggests, skin rashes and teasing.
