Bad weather across the country has hit the sporting programme |
The adverse weather conditions disrupted the weekend's sporting schedule across Britain. Three Championship games were called off on Saturday while fixtures in League One, League Two and the Blue Square Premier were decimated. Forfar's Scottish Cup tie at home to Rangers was called off on Sunday. The rugby league tie between Harlequins and Bradford was postponed and, while racing at Newbury was off, the meet at Kempton went ahead. The Newbury card was due to see the reappearance of Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Denman in the Aon Chase after he was treated for a heart problem. However, the race was switched to Kempton on Saturday. | 606: DEBATE |
