Sports awards nominees revealed

Oxfordshire Sports Awards

The nominations for the Oxfordshire Sports Awards have been announced with athletes being recognised for their achievements in the last 12 months.

The shortlist of 36 has been chosen from over 100 nominations in 12 different categories.

All the shortlisted nominees have been invited to the prestigious awards evening on Friday 7 November 2008

The 12 winners will be announced by BBC Oxford, with all the reaction on 95.2FM the following day.

The shortlist is made up of European, World and Olympic champions as well as county, national and regional team players, dedicated coaches, young volunteers and people who have dedicated a phenomenal number of years to their sport.
