Andy Eborall and Martyn Le Page won the pairs' title at the 2008 Guernsey Pool Championships after a 6-1 victory over Adam Shorto and Stan Lester.

Eborall and Le Page raced into a 5-0 lead in the final to take complete control of the match.

Shorto and Lester pulled one back by potting the last two colours and the black in the sixth frame.

But it was Eborall and Le Page's title when Le Page potted the black into the corner to take the clinching frame.

Pool media officer Trevor Kirk said: "The pair were definitely looking clear favourites. They were both on fire as they missed nothing."

Shorto and Lester reached the final by taking the last two frames to recover from 4-3 down to beat Sam Bulmer and Kevin de Carteret 5-4.

Eborall and Le Page also struggled in their semi-final as they fell 3-1 behind against heavyweights Mick Le Noury and Martyn Desperques before eventually taking the match 5-3.
