UK Sport has announced a huge jump in the number of pre-Games drug tests for Olympians and Paralympians. Over 99% of the British Olympic team and almost 93% of their Paralympic counterparts were tested at least once before Athens.
Before Sydney 2000, 81% of the Olympic team and only 30% of the Paralympic team were tested.
A total of 1,016 pre-Olympic and Paralympic Games tests were carried out by UK Sport with all coming back clean.
Earlier this year, the International Paralympic Committee issued new anti-doping regulations, in line with the World Anti-Doping Code, to which the British Paralympic Association has signed up.
BPA chief executive Phil Lane admitted he was pleased with the report's findings.
"The Paralympic movement has come a long way in recent years in terms of recognition," he said
"Having a full and thorough anti-doping programme in place helps this process by showing that athletes with a disability are subject to the same strict scrutiny as their able-bodied counterparts."
From April to September, 2,756 tests were conducted with the Football Association receiving most tests (295).
