Chief executive of UK Sport, Richard Callicott, has been forced to leave his post after a controversial shake-up. However, members of UK Sport's 14-strong board claim they were not consulted about the decision.
Callicott had often clashed with Michele Verroken, UK Sport's head of drugs-free sport.
Liz Nicholl, the organisation's performance director and a former chief executive of English Netball, will take over as acting chief executive.
Callicott said in a statement: "I am particularly pleased that the Government has seen fit to invest more funding into UK Sport programmes and I am heartened that we have continued to develop our world class anti-doping programme."
