Apparently, the wily Scot has agreed to stay at Old Trafford for another three years - will the Stretford End still love him when he's 65?

The Beatles said money can't buy love, but United have had to fork out between 12m [Mail] and 16m [News of the World] to secure his services.

Not bad money for a pensioner, as the Star says "Fergie's staying 'til he's an OAP".

But it's an entirely different experience for Peter Reid at Leeds, who according to The People will be sacked as boss this week following the 6-1 defeat by Portsmouth on Saturday.

The Sunday Telegraph agrees, saying "Pressure mounts on battered Reid" and adds that the "twin spectres of relegation and administration are looming" for the Yorkshire club.

Away from football, New Zealand receive a fair amount of praise for their victory over South Africa in their Rugby World Cup quarter-final.

The Independent on Sunday says "the All Blacks produced an electrifying display to brush aside the Springboks".

For England, who play Wales in their last eight match-up, The Sunday Times says "the time has come".

The paper says "England need a definitive performance - if they deliver it, they will be re-installed as tournament favourites."

If England do win, it will spell the end for Wales coach Steve Hansen says The Mail on Sunday.

It's a tough life being a coach - unless you're Ferguson.
