The newspapers - tabloid and broadsheet - are quick to make the most of television footage detailing a tunnel bust-up during England's Euro 2004 qualifier in Istanbul.

But it is not clear who has most to fear from video nasty.

The Daily Star, Daily Express and The Guardian reckon David Beckham could in hot water while the Daily Mail and Daily Mirror suggest Emile Heskey is the man most likely to face punishment.

Rio Ferdinand remains in the headlines following his not-so-secret meeting with the FA to explain why he missed a routine drug test.

The result of Monday's discussions have yet to be made public, which means the papers have to keep their powder dry for another day at least.

England were billed as tournament favourites before the start of the Rugby World Cup, but injuries have put a dent in their title aspirations.

The Mirror's Alex Spink says England manager Clive Woodward has work cut out keeping his side on track for glory as they prepare to lock horns with South Africa on Saturday.

The Independent's Chris Hewett says England's plans for the game against the Springboks are in "serious disarray" while The Daily Telegraph's Mick Cleary writes that "England's medical room was doing a roaring trade".
