Goings on at Stamford Bridge continue to captivate the papers.
The Guardian claims Argentine midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron is on the verge of a move from Manchester United to Chelsea.
The two clubs have apparently agreed a 15m fee for the playmaker, who cost United 28.1m just two years ago.
Veron's advisers are said to have been in "advanced negotiations" with Chelsea last night and, if all goes according to plan, the move will be tied up today.

According to the Daily Star, Chelsea, or Chelski as they now seem to be known, are poised to sign not only Veron, but Inter Milan striker Christian Vieri as well.
The "mega double deal" will cost Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich 51m, but he will recoup 15m from the sale of striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink according to the Star.
The Sun reports that a Las Vegas tycoon wants to open plush casinos at the Premiership's top grounds, at a cost of 150m.
Wednesday's papers also look ahead to Michael Vaughan's debut as England Test captain, against South Africa on Thursday.
The Times argues that the match will usher in a new era for English cricket.
"His appointment to succeed Nasser Hussain presents another, unexpected opportunity to seduce a younger audience," writes Richard Hobson.
But The Telegraph's Derek Pringle sounds a cautionary note.
"Vaughan's honeymoon may not last long," he writes.
"Every captain needs a vision and while Vaughan's leadership of the one-day team has produced a happy team of winners, achieving the same in the five-day game may not be quite as simple."
