For those not lucky enough to witness the games in the stadium, the nine 'Fan Fest' parks across South Africa provide the match day atmosphere for thousands more.
The BBC's James Harrod soaked up the jubilant atmosphere in one such park before South Africa's match last night - and was there to feel the disappointment as the hosts lost 3-0.
