Coach Fabio Capello reprimanded a group of photographers prior to England's training session at their Royal Bafokeng World Cup base on Wednesday.

The 63-year-old Italian was unhappy that their focus was on a building that also contains a medical room.

"Why do you take photos of the rooms? No excuses," said Capello.

There will be no media access to Thursday's training, although this was not a reaction to the events that occurred on Wednesday.

The decision, arranged within the England schedule, followed Fifa's guidelines of allowing one session behind closed doors in the build-up to each game.

"Capello's outburst is probably a symptom of the adrenalin that is building up inside the England camp," said BBC Sport's chief football writer Phil McNulty reporting from the training camp.

"They are all clearly desperate for this World Cup to start after such a long build-up.

"It might also be a sign of what England's players face inside the dressing room if they don't follow his orders."

The players were also angry at being followed by the media during their visit to a safari park on Tuesday.

Midfielder Joe Cole said that high-profile players were now accustomed to intense media attention.

"A couple of lads would have liked to have some of the photographers eaten by the lions," joked the Chelsea midfielder.

"You get used to being followed - it's one of the small things about footballer that is annoying."

England are busy fine-tuning their preparations for Saturday's World Cup opener against Group C rivals the United States in Rustenburg.

Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips took part in training on Wednesday after recovering from a knee problem.

Aston Villa's James Milner, who missed Tuesday's session with a slight temperature, trained in the gym along with Tottenham defender Ledley King.

Portsmouth goalkeeper David James also took part in Wednesday's session even though he is understood to have a knee injury.

The Football Association insists he is fit and available for Saturday's game, although it is still unclear whether James, West Ham's Robert Green or Manchester City's Joe Hart will start against the USA.

Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry has already ruled himself out of Saturday's match as he he recovers from an ankle problem.
