Gray played in Trinidad's first two matches |
Trinidad and Tobago defender Cyd Gray will miss their final Group B game with Paraguay on Tuesday after suffering a leg injury against England. The 29-year old played on with the injury but will not recover in time to take part at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion.
"Cyd is out for a week with a partial torn ligament in his upper leg," said team spokesman Shaun Fuentes.
"He managed to play until the end against England but then the doctor looked at it and said he needed rest."
Trinidad & Tobago could still mathematically quailfy for the second round if they beat Paraguay and Sweden lose to England.
