The bonus row that threatened to undermine's Togo's maiden World Cup has apparently been resolved. A spokesman for Togo's football federation said the deal agreed with players falls short of the team's initial demands.
"We have reached an agreement. The players will get their money," Messan Attolou said.
Attolou added that the players will not be paid the $200,000 each that they had demanded for playing in Germany.
Attolou declined to comment further and said exact details were still being finalised.
In addition to the appearance bonuses, the players also want to be paid US$40,000 for each win and US$20,000 for a draw.
The Hawks are rated outsiders in their World Cup debut, having failed to score a single goal at the African Nations Cup finals earlier this year.
