Paraguay striker Roque Santa Cruz will be fit to face England in their opening World Cup match on 10 June. The 24-year-old has been nursing an injured right knee and missed training on Sunday after being instructed by doctors not to rush his comeback.
But coach Anibal Ruiz said of the Bayern Munich forward: "He is definitely going to play."
Santa Cruz suffered a cruciate ligament injury last October and has had two knee operations in the last 18 months.
The striker has scored 13 goals in 42 internationals.
