East Rutherford, USA Playing with four regulars on the bench, Ecuador held the lead for only three minutes after Segundo Castillo's shot from the edge of the area in the 53rd minute was followed by a left-footed strike from Colombia's Elkin Soto. 28 May 2006
Macedonia 2-1 Ecuador
Madrid, Spain Ecuador's final warm-up game finished on a worrying note with an injury to striker Carlos Tenorio. Tenorio opened the scoring in the first half before being stretchered off with a leg injury after the break. A Goran Maznov and a penalty from defender Igor Mitreski gave Macedonia the win.
