Sara Ismail-Sutton shoulders the ball from Corinthians' Jade Burden
Corinthians began their defence of the Floodlit Cup with a convincing 4-0 victory over Castletown at Ramsey Grammar School on Sunday.
The holders led the Group A contest 3-0 at half-time with Rachel Quirk (2), Megan Loughran and Jade Burden handing them a perfect start.
Meanwhile, Ramsey also made an impressive start to the group with a 6-2 win over Colby at QEII.
The Group B games will get underway next week.
Lauren Stoutt (3), Sammie MacDonald (2) and Karmina Kovanda scored for the northerners, the Glen Road outfit's response came from a Hannah Leece brace.
