With nearest rivals Sporting Club Albion in County Cup action, the Sky Blues stretched their lead at the top to 14 points.
Helen Dermody nudged the visitors ahead in the first half with Hazannah Parnell adding a second after the break.
Copeswood made it a double success for the city of Coventry, beating TNS 4-2.
