Big freeze culls women's fixtures

Women's football

The Women's Premier League's winter break has been forced into a premature start after the weather wiped out all of the weekend's scheduled fixtures.

Freezing conditions forced five matches to be abandoned.

Bristol-Blackburn, Doncaster Belles-Millwall, Leeds-Watford, Nottingham Forest-Chelsea and Sunderland-Everton all fell foul of the weather.

The League programme will recommence on 17 January, a week after the fourth round of the FA Cup.
