Royal beat Rushen to reach semis

Douglas Royal beat fierce rivals Rushen United 4-1 at Croit Lowey on Sunday to book their place in the last four of the Isle of Man Women's FA Cup.

Vicky Worthington, Donna Shimmin, Leanne Ashe and Bekki Cole scored the goals for Brian Cowin's side

Eleanor Gawne was on target for the southern outfit.

Royal will be joined in the semi-finals by Division One side Gymnasium, along with Laxey and Castletown from the second division.

Gymns reached their second successive FA Cup semi-final with a 3-0 win over Ramey at Ballacloan.

Laxey booked their place with an impressive 4-2 win over top-flight Peel whilst Castletown knocked out local rivals Colby 6-0 at Glen Road.

Elsewhere, Anna Dillon and Steph Hall both scored five goals as Corinthians demolished Michael 15-0 in the only league game to be played over the weekend.
