Everton confident of cup success

Everton Ladies are confident of making it a cup double

Everton entertain Liverpool in the Liverpool Senior Ladies Cup Final at Goodison Park on Sunday.

Toffees goalkeeper Danielle Hill told BBC Radio Merseyside that her team-mates, who finished second in the league, are confident of victory.

"It's just another game for us. We consider Arsenal [the league champions] a big game.

"We don't consider them [Liverpool] much of a threat. If we play our way we should beat them comfortably."

Everton missed out on the league title by just five points and boasted the meanest defence of the season.

"Hopefully next year we can challenge for the league a bit more and hopefully win it," Hill added.

We go there as slight underdogs

Liverpool manager David Bradley

Everton are hoping to make it a double cup success after they won the League Cup in February.

In contrast Liverpool Ladies finished the league season third-from-bottom of the table and 35 points behind Everton.

The last time the two sides met in April Everton ran out 5-1 winners.

Liverpool's' manager David Bradley, who is a self confessed Reds fan, is hoping to pull off a shock win.

"There would be nothing better. For me personally, I think it would be my greatest achievement in sport.

"We go there as slight underdogs but should we go and cause an upset on the day, I can't see there being anything better".
