Everton Ladies aim for final win

Everton Ladies host Charlton on Sunday in what is their final league game of the season.

The Blues, who have known for some time they will finish runners-up to Arsenal, already have one eye on challenging for the title next season.

Everton coach Keith Marley spoke to BBC Radio Merseyside and said he has hopes that they can end the season on a high.

"We are expected to win the game with ease really. A clean sheet would be perfect. So we have aims to go for."

But Marley admits he is glad to see the season draw to a close, as many of they squad are starting to feel the effects of a taxing season.

Everton's fatigue levels were not improved by playing two games in the space of 24 hours last week, against Watford and Cardiff.

Marley added: "Simply everybody's on their knees. It's been a long, hard season.

"Obviously we've done well and we're pleased with what we've achieved this season.

"But I think everyone, including myself, needs a rest."

Everton's final game of the season kicks off at the Ford Sports and Social Club in Cronton at 1400 BST on Sunday.
