Walker disappointed at Cup loss

York City are out of the FA Cup after losing 1-0 to Mansfield in the fourth qualifying round replay.

It is the second consecutive year that York have been knocked out at this stage of the competition.

Manager Colin Walker told BBC Radio York: "I thought we were in charge for most of the game, especially in the first half.

"They just had a 10 or 15 minute spell just after half time, unfortunately we let ourselves down in the final third."

Walker also said he is still trying to find someone to help strengthen his attacking options.

"That's the area I know we're not the best in and I'm trying to do something about it," said Walker.

"I've got the backing of the board but it's getting the right one in."

City now turn their attention to Oxford United in the Blue Square Premier on Saturday and Walker said his job is to get the players ready for that game.

"I understand people being upset about York going out of the cup but I think all the players gave it their best and we've got to pick them up ready for Oxford."
