Brayson had moved from Northwich to York in June 2007 |
Striker Paul Brayson has left York City by mutual consent. Brayson, 30, did not figure in manager Colin Walker's long-term plans and so has been freed to allow him to find a new club.
The former Reading and Cardiff striker, who is wanted by Gateshead, joined York from Northwich last summer but started just 18 games, scoring four times.
The Blue Square Premier club have also allowed 19-year-old midfielder Chas Wrigley to leave.
