Grimsby Town midfielder Nick Hegarty has joined York City on a month's loan. City boss Billy McEwan made his move for the 21-year-old after losing Ross Greenwood with a broken wrist.
Hegarty has made 23 appearances for Grimsby after coming through the club's youth scheme but has not figured yet this season.
Meanwhile, York defender Carl Jones, 21, is facing a spell out of action after sustaining a fractured cheekbone in training.
