Yeovil Town keen on Obika return

Jon Obika
Obika's four goals helped keep Yeovil in League One

Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton wants Tottenham striker Jon Obika back at Huish Park to spearhead his attack.

The Spurs academy player, 18, scored four goals in 10 appearances on loan last season to help steer the club clear of relegation from League One.

Yeovil have already taken two players, Ryan Mason and Steven Caulker, on loan from White Hart Lane this summer.

"I have been spoken to Harry Redknapp and he has not shut the door," Skiverton told the Western Gazette.

In addition to Obika, Andros Townsend and Danny Hutchins also made the move to Huish Park last season.

And Spurs assistant manager Kevin Bond admits that the link between the two clubs is working well.

"They took a couple of lads from us last year who did well," Bond told BBC Somerset.

"They went down at the back end of last season and played well and benefitted from that experience, so we're giving a couple of others the same opportunity."
