Skiverton's goal against Northampton was his second of the season |
Yeovil Town captain Terry Skiverton said the team's hard work had paid off after they clinched their first win of 2008 against Northampton Town. Defender Skiverton told BBC Somerset: "There has been a lot of pressure building on us of our own making.
"We have been working on a lot of things and it paid off.
"The team showed great patience and character, but you know with Russell Slade's teams that he is not going to let you lay down and die."
Manager Slade said he wanted the team to build on their first win in nine games.
"In the last couple of games we have missed chances and this game is about goals," he said.
"There is enough quality in our side and in our make-up to win football matches.
"It is a relief that we have got the bad run out of the way now and it is hopefully something to build on."
