Yeovil have signed young Chelsea midfielder Liam Bridcutt on loan until the end of the regular league season. The 18-year-old is a regular in Chelsea's reserves this season and has captained the Blues' second string.
Manager Russell Slade told Yeovil's website: "He is a Michael Essien-style midfielder so he likes to get around the pitch.
"His feet are good and he's got a great attitude and he has a real maturity for a footballer who is only 18."
Bridcutt impressed when he played in Yeovil reserves' 0-0 draw with Forest Green.
Slade is believed to be keen on signing a new midfielder and considered signing former Chelsea regular Jody Morris.
The 29-year-old also played in the reserve game as Bridcutt but Yeovil have decided not to sign him.
