Slade told BBC Somerset Sound he was working non-stop to identify targets.

"That is ongoing," he said. "I have not stopped on the phone since the transfer window opened. It is a pain in the backside but it has got to be done.

"We need to shake it up and see if we can improve the quality of player that we have got, whether that is a permanent signing or a loan signing."
