Johnson recently turned down talks with Coventry |
Yeovil Town have refused to comment on speculation linking manager Gary Johnson with the vacant managerial post at Championship side Watford. Johnson has been rumoured as a possible successor to Ray Lewington who was sacked after a run of results which left the club in danger of relegation.
Johnson recently turned down the chance to hold talks with Coventry before they appointed Micky Adams.
He has been in charge of League two leaders Yeovil since June 2001.
Johnson is one of the most highly-rated manager's in the lower leagues after getting the club promoted as champions from the Conference by a record 17 points in 2002/2003.
In their first season in the old Division Three - now League Two - they finished eighth and only missed out on the play-offs on goal difference.
But they look set for automatic promotion this season as they head the division.
