Midfielder Kevin Betsy, 31, has rejoined former club Wycombe Wanderers until the end of the season.

Betsy was released by Southend and manager Gary Waddock was quick to move for the player who has already spent a loan spell at Adams Park this season.

Betsy told the club website: "I'm delighted to be back at the club where I have been my happiest."

The 31-year-old signed for Wycombe for the first time in 2005 and became a fans favourite, making 88 appearances.

Betsy started his career at Woking before joining Fulham in 1998 and moving to Barnsley in 2002.

"I made no secret when I signed on loan earlier this season that I wanted to remain at the club for as long as I can. That was my intention and it is fulfilled until at least the end of the season," he said.

Waddock said: "I'm pleased he is back and that we've been able to sign him on a permanent basis."

Betsy has also had spells at Bournemouth, Hull, Hartlepool, Oldham, Bristol City, Yeovil and Walsall.
