Johnson began his career with Southend

Wycombe defender Leon Johnson has signed a 12-month contract extension at Adams Park.

The new deal will see the 27-year-old remain with with the League Two side until June 2010.

Johnson was signed by former Wanderers boss Paul Lambert from Gillingham in the summer of 2007.

Meanwhile striker Scott McGleish has returned from a three-month loan spell with League One side Northampton Town, where he made fourteen appearances.
