Captain Tommy Mooney wants Wycombe to match his ambition before he signs a new deal at Adams Park. The 35-year-old striker, who is out of contract in the summer, will hold talks with boss Paul Lambert next week.
Mooney told the club website: "Some people have got the wrong idea about why I've delayed signing a new deal.
"It's nothing to do with interest from other clubs, it's about ambition. I've got a desire to succeed and need to be satisfied the club feels the same."
