Johnson has only ever played for Wycombe |
Wycombe Wanderers have turned down an offer of 100,000 from Swansea City for defender Roger Johnson. The bid for Johnson, who has a year to run on his existing contract, was rejected by the Wycombe board.
"Roger is our captain. He's a committed player and we want to keep him at the club," managing director Steve Hayes told Wycombe's website.
Johnson, 23, has spent all of his career, so far, with Wycombe, starting almost 150 league games for the club.
Swansea manager Kenny Jackett is poised for an active summer in the transfer market, central defence and central midfield his priorities.
Earlier this week the club released captain and midfielder Roberto Martinez, along with wing Adrian Forbes and goalkeeper Brian Murphy.
